Does Social Media Create Eating Disorders? w/Alana Van Der Sluys of Freedom with Food and Fitness

Food, fitness and body obsessions are way too common. A large part of this is due to the illusion social media creates. We are killing ourselves for this vision of perfection that we're supposed to attain, and yet most of the images out there are modified with filters and editing, creating completely unrealistic and toxic expectations of what our bodies are supposed to look like.

According to Alana Van Der Sluys, a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and the founder of Freedom with Food and Fitness, most of her clients come to work with her due to comparison and obsession.

Tune in as Alana shares:

  • The definition of an eating disorder (it might surprise you!)
  • Labeling food as good or bad
  • What intuitive eating is
  • And much more!
